the last day of 2007.

super unlucky day.

i was at the bus stop with pig tan waiting for qingqing then while we were walking up the pathway a stupid bird pooped on me!!!!

i was squealing away while the very kind pig tan was trying her best to clean the poop off me.

so angry.

of all places to poop, it poops on me.

AHHHHHH!

what a way to end the year.

anyway, we (me, pig tan and qingqing) brought hannah and rena out today.

we went to pasir ris park to rollerblade.

an hour was spent on locating the kiosk which rented the skates cos the one near the playground was closed.

the next 2 hours was spent skating around.

and thank goodness i only fell once.

and i got slightly burned.

cos we were skating between 11 to 1.

after skating, we had our mini picnic.

and thats like the first time in my entire life that i saw the end of the mrt at pasir ris.

and we walked back to white sands to play bishi bashi and to take photos (:

and we brought hannah and rena home.

and spent time talking to chee jiejie.

and now i'm back home.

tired.

2007 is about to end.

and i really really wish 2008 will be alot better than 2007.

in 2008 i want to go back to school, learn how to drive, make new friends, find some kids to tutor, learn to speak japanese very fluently, take my JLPT, meet up with the seven more often.

i guess thats about it.

speaking about meeting up with the seven. i really really really think we should meet up more often. it's like we met up only like 8 times this year. and out of these 8 times, only 3 times were there all 7 of us. but i guess it might be harder to meet up since the guys are going for NS and qiuxuan will have A levels. BUT i dun care, we must still meet up. =p

this year has been a very different one from the rest.

its like the first time in 12 years that i'm not going to school.

and its kinda weird.

having to wake up early on 26th december, right after christmas, to go to work feels weird.

i think i'm too used to having holidays after christmas.

not having any exams to study for feels kinda weird too cos it makes me feel that i have nth to work towards to.

anyway i got my very first part time job this year.

and it was doing admin stuff in NTU which is super boring but fun with qingqing as company.

and my second part time job as a teacher assistant in a childcare centre which is a job i really enjoy doing most of the time.

i'm still doing my second part time job and i think i'll be holding on to that job until i need to go to school.

in 2007 i made new friends.

at work i met friends like eunice and daishu mama and nora.

eunice is really nice and fun to be with! she's always funny and always laughing at me. i will really miss her when she starts school and stops working )))):

daishu mama is also fun to be with! she always cooks yummy stuff for us to eat. and she likes to tell us things that are happening in the centre =p

i also met ppl randomly.

i lost touch with some friends but i really hope to catch up with them next year (:

and i learnt how to roller blade today.

but i'm still very bad at it.

i'm worse than rena, who is only 5.

ok thats about it.

i suppose next year will be a better year.

cos 2007 was bad for me.

very bad.

things cant get worse i suppose.

i hope not.

i have no photos to upload cos they're all ith qingqing so i'll upload them another day (:

it's the last sunday of the year!!!

and i feel sick.

i cant wait for 2008 to come.

then i can go to school again soon.

but that will be in May which is still 5 long months away.

boo.

tomorrow morning will be bringing hannah and rena out to pasir ris park.

i hope it doesnt rain like it is now.

had dinner with my entire family on thursday to celebrate my daddy's birthday.

the dinner was super yummy.

and super expensive.

it's the very first dinner i bought for my family with my hard earned money.

the entire meal cost like $517.

but it was worth it (:

the tiramisu was good.

and there was so much chocolate.

ok i'm not really in the mood to blog.

it's my 200th post!

just a random note =p

i had so much fun on friday!!!

not at work.

with qiuxuan and khalis, watching val perform.

the musical was really nice.

val's acting was great.

i realised i havent laughed so much in a while.

thank goodness she came just minutes before i left.

yay i'm finally back to blog!

about my VERY VERY miserable life.

my daddy is finally back!!!

after about 1 week of being in london.

i heard that its super cold there.

i shall go there one day when i'm able to afford it.

and i'm a very happy girl because i watched 3 movies in a week!

i watched enchanted last tuesday.

alvin and the chipmunks on monday.

and the golden compass yesterday.

and i feel that the best movie of these 3 is ENCHANTED!

i love the dresses that she wore!

and the chipmunk is so very cute.

and while watching the golden compass at cineleisure yesterday, there was this row of children who were so very noisy.

noisy to the extent that i wanted to throw popcorn at them.

but i enjoyed the show.

went to the pasar malam today at tampines.

with eunice.

we walked around like maybe more than 3 rounds.

and it was so hot.

i dun understand why ppl work there.



tomorrow is a public holiday!

i can finally get my much needed sleep.

and i can search for teaching tools for my BELOVED K2 students.

it's gonna be a long long 5 months with them before i start school.



had a mini class dinner last friday.

it was weird at first but it got better.

and i finally got to see the christmas decorations along orchard road.

and i think its nothing fantastic.

ok i cant think about what to blog anymore.

i shall look forward to friday.

even though i'm VERY VERY disappointed that not all 7 will be there for val's concert.

i hate taxis.

they dun appear when i want to take them.

but a huge thank you to EUNICE for accompanying me while waiting for the taxi that took so long to come.

and i had a great time laughing at all the nonsense we talked about.

this afternoon i got scared by this crazy man cycling on his bicycle.

i seriously felt that he was chasing me.

with no thanks to eunice for increasing my fear of him. =p

and to make matters worse, it was raining so heavily.

i had to run across the road to avoid him.

i havent felt so scared for a really long time.

aaaaahhhhh!

traumatising experience.

anyway i didnt really enjoy the concert today.

i was made the emcee like at 11 plus today.

so i simply embarrassed myself for the entire concert.

and the parents looked pretty bored somehow.

and there were like irritating parents.

they just like ask who is who.

and some parent claimed that she didnt know who i am.

and when i went to look for her, she was like "oh, i just wanted to know who you are."

i really dun understand why people act as if they are so great when they are not.

aaahhhhhh!

i had another bad day today.

so thats about it.

and i predict even more horrible days from next week onwards.

i have to work tomorrow.

i have to wake up early.

and early is like 7.

waking up at 7 on a saturday is madness.

i still have to do my charity work tomorrow.

i dun mind doing charity work actually BUT i really mind going to work on a saturday just to clean the classrooms which have hidden lizards which appear out from no where.

and next friday i have to go for a meeting that i really have no idea what its about.

just when i wanted to take half a day off.

please tell me my life cant get any worse.

i should stop whining about my horrible life.

nothing nice seems to be happening anymore.

my daddy is going overseas on sunday.

and on monday i'll be taking that horrible K2 class.

and i have to work with a person who doesnt seem that reliable.

today was a normal day.

except for the fact that SOMEONE did something really stupid.

and some stupid fat boy who ruined my past 2 days.

and i have an ultra busy day tomorrow.

and i have to work from like 9.30 to 7 i think.

i'm having a stupid headache.

3rd December 2007

my recycled christmas tree is completed!!!

made of mainly newspaper and attached by a pathetic amount of masking tape.

i shall upload a photo of it soon.

before the christmas tree was completed, no one could guess that it was a christmas tree.

so there were guesses that it was a snowman and some said it was a dustbin.

so while i was painting it green, i kept forcing my students to say it was a christmas tree.

that is to ensure that when their parents come to their mini concert on friday, they will be able to tell their clueless parents that that is a christmas tree.

heehee.

and it is confirmed that i will be taking the K2 next year.

i shall take the opportunity to improve the amount of patience i have with them.

the torture will start on the 10th of december.

HAIS!

and the only good thing about it is that i'm getting paid.



and it's back to work tomorrow!

and it's only MONDAY.

I HAD SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN YESTERDAY!!!!

how i wished val was there too.

but then again there will be other times.

and i found a place where we can go to the next time we meet up!!!

abit pricey but i'm sure you guys will love it there.

anyway yesterday we were at jere's place.

and we went to elias mall for dinner.

jere drove.

a good experience.

in a way.

sooooo 1st december 2007 is definitely a day worth remembering.

i had this dream on friday.

part of me wants that dream to come true but another part of me doesn't.

friday was the day when i slept ALOT.

i slept at like 7 plus in the evening and woke up at 1 plus in the morning to take my dinner.

and i went back to sleep at like 2 plus and woke up at 11.

i'm such a pig.

I'M SO TIRED!!!!

and its only tuesday.

i have this very very bad feeling that i might be teaching the K2 class next year.

which means i'll be teaching the kids that are in K1 this year.

K1 kids = ALOT of trouble.

apparently they're more scared of me.

i cant be that scary.

right?

=p

last saturday's graduation was really fun.

dressing up in malay traditional costumes was fun.

the children were naughty.

and stubborn.

but i had fun putting make-up for them.

i was in charge of putting on blusher for them.

and they were so pink!

I'M BACK!!!!

not that i was missed.

the past few days were tiring.

and i had horrible sleeping hours.

i came back on thursday at bout 2am.

i slept at bout 4am and woke up at 9am and i slept at bout 1am that nite.

i woke up at like 8am the next morning and slept at bout 11 plus.

on sat i woke up at 8 plus too and slept at bout 6pm.

and i woke up at bout 7.30 the next morning.

and sunday was my last night of sleeping really early =p

i slept at bout 8.30 or 9 (cant really remember)

yesterday was the start of work for me!

i realised that i really missed the kids sooooooo much.

a few of them have left the centre and a few have just enrolled.

and there is this particular student who has endless questions to ask.

just like my little cousin.

and another student who cant stop crying.

and another who will cry whenever i stare at him.

haha i'm evil.

i have to work this saturday cos they're having their K2 graduation performance thing.

and all teachers have to be in malay traditional costumes because our students are doing a malay dance.

ok enough bout work.

the first sunset i saw when i was walking out of their supermarket (which are all super huge by the way).


and my very first dinner in Anaheim. the portion was huge and it was the first and last time we ever ordered 5 portions of food for 5 people.


and the next day we went to legoland. it sounds kiddy but it was really fun in a way. and the first stupid picture of that day. the dinosaur was made by lego.


and thats me in that lion. pig tan was claiming that no one would look that happy to be in a lion. and the lion too is made up of lego (:


and that is a car made with 201 076 pieces of lego. it's like a life size car.

i saw this car when we were on our way to universal studios the following day. i shall own one that will be pretty similar to that when i'm rich enough. =p

this was the very first attraction we went to when we reached universal studios. only me and pig tan and my dad went in. it was halloween so it was sort of their main attraction. i was so traumatised after that. people inside were dressed up and they all pop up from no where. and to make things worse, pig tan abandoned me halfway cos she was too scared.

and 2 sisters of mine who claim that they love me.


and the next day we headed on to hollywood. and this was the first thing that caught my attention. (:


then we went for some star tour thing to look at many celebrity houses. i cant remember much of what the guide said anyway. after that we walked along the street and they had museum like things for ripley's believe or not and for guiness world records. and we decided to go for the ripley's believe or not instead of the guiness world record one. half the time, we were afraid that something might pop up from the dark corners in that museum cos it had mostly dim lighting.

ok i dunno why but i cant upload anymore photos.

i have to be awake by 6.30 tomorrow.

and i have to leave the house by 7.15.

and be at the centre by 7.45.

just for the family day at labrador park.

and we're going there to pick up rubbish!

the day at the airport was tiring.

very tiring.

and i bet i looked like i was torturing the little girl that i was holding.

but i was not.

it was the other way round.

she was difficult to handle today.

but thank goodness she slept.

the children were like the main attraction at the airport.

people were amazed and started taking photos of them.

it was really cute.

they were so tired by the end of the fieldtrip that they were all dozing off in the bus.

and we had to constantly wake them up so as to ensure that they wouldnt be too awake for their afternoon nap.

everything was really messy in the morning thanks to somebody.

and i bet it'll be even messier tomorrow.

hmm let me talk bout the past few days.

last friday!

i had so much fun.

i havent had so much fun in a long time.

i went to work as usual and after work, i went for dinner with val, joey, qiuxuan, jere, jamie, khalis.

at marina.

for steamboat.

it was full of people by the time we got there.

val and khalis did most of the cooking.

khalis cooked chilli crab!

but it was too spicy for me so e cooked butter crab for me.

haha it was amusing.

and i peeled prawns!

i went to buy beer and the lady at the counter didnt seem to believe that i was above 18.

after dinner, we went to the arcade beside the steamboat place and we played daytona.

just 6 of us without joey.

it was hilarious.

we made our way back after that.

and i was awake until 6.45am.

and had about 2 hours of sleep before waking up again to see the doctor.

and i survived until about 3pm on saturday.

then i had about another 3 hours of sleep.

i'm such a pig.

and i went for steamboat again on sunday.

but it wasnt that nice.

after the steamboat, i had a few hours of entertainment by looking at my mummy and daddy and relatives playing jackpot.

they were amusing.

so thats all for my weekend.

we had a policeman talk on wednesday.

now i know why the policeman uniform is dark blue.

and that the guns that they carry really do work.

haha.

its the last day of the month!

things i look forward to at the end of the month.

my pay and the beginning of a new month!

my pay was utterly disappointing.

it was pathetic.

but thats what i get for taking 4 days of leave and 1 day of "forced" leave.

yes i confirmed that i am only working till the end of october.

and if everything goes as planned, i'll be off on holiday.

and after that i'll find a new job.

that hopefully will be more meaningful but at the same time enjoyable.

i was thinking of finding a job that helps special needs children.

but i guess thats more towards voluntary work, i think.

the day at pasir ris park was tiring.

having to constantly ensure that the children don't fall while they climb up the playground.

and also having to take special note of this girl who would walk away without saying.

and with HER watching us as if we would mistreat the children.

and SHE doesnt seem to give us very specific directions on what to do.

leaving me quite blur on what to do next.

and also afraid of making a wrong decision.

playing with sand is definitely not advisable if you are bringing 19 kids at one time.

the weather didnt help.

it was hot and the grass was muddy.

the children were carrying sand in their little spades and walking around.

as i was squatting down, showing them how to make a mountain of sand, some of the sand fell on my head.

i hate it when that happens.

and by the time we brought them back to the centre, they were still full of sand.

we had to dust them one by one.

after that they had their lunch, it was chicken rice by the way, they had ice cream.

it was messy but i think they enjoyed it.

they had their bath and they were all changed into their party clothes.

and we had a little bumble bee in the class!

i suppose i could say he was the centre of attraction for that day.

his classmates were chasing him around the class trying to catch the bumble bee.

and some were singing a song aboutthe little bumble bee.

they had chicken nuggets, little chicken cocktails and potato chips for their afternoon snack.

and when they went home, they had so many gifts.

these kids are so very lucky.

after work, i went for a dance lesson with qing and pig tan.

not my idea to go for that dance thing.

but it was kinda fun actually.

the theme of the dance was MTV.

i seriously had a hard time catching up.

and had a good time embarrassing myself.

but i had fun and might consider going there again.

might.

and tomorrow is officially a holiday for me!

it will probably be taken away from me by my beloved mother.

she plans to take me to orchard to shop at isetan cos there's a sale.

but i planned to sleep in till about 12 or 1.

BOO.

my plan destroyed.


the place to meet on the 5th still hasnt been decided!

jere and khalis seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth again.

qiuxuan will be busy.

maybe we should just stick to pizza at my place or something.

or just go back to eighteen chefs.


things get so difficult when people are just so busy.

i'm lost in time.

i cant seem to put the dates right.

time is going toooooo fast.

yes, i'm here to complain!!!

just to rant on how unfair work can get.

its gonna be childrens day and the playgroup teachers didnt get a chance to choose a gift for the playgroup class at all.

and that is after SHE asked us to think about gifts for the kids.

and just today SHE went to buy gifts for the kids without asking any playgroup teacher to tag along.

BOOOOOOOO.

and SHE hasnt told me when i'll be stopping work.

and if you have been reading my blog you would have realised that it has been quite long time since i was supposed to stop work.

and SHE treats us as if we dont know anything.

SHE is just plain mean.

SHE is horrible.

very horrible.

ARGGGGHHHHHHH.

ok enough of complains.

anyway i bought gifts for them on my own.

i really hope they like it!

and we'll be heading to pasir ris park on friday to celebrate childrens day.

i dont remember celebrating childrens day at a park when i was young.

but thats besides the point.

i have no idea which part of the park we will be at.

we'll be somewhere at 9 maybe.

had a super full dinner at lorong salleh yesterday.

too many buffets recently.

one on the 14th of sept and the other on 18th sept.

and those 2 dinners.

YES!!!!

it's finally the end of another work week!

today and yesterday was COMPLETE MADNESS.

and i think i have super cranky at work.

so i'm sorry if i was too cranky.

heehee =p

i will try not to be cranky next week.

provided i do not get irritated by that certain person.

ok make that 2 ppl.

we had waterplay yesterday.

usually i get totally drenched because i have to go under that mushroom thing.

but this time, i got drenched by this K1 girl with horribly contagious laughter.

the funny part was that i didnt get totally drenched alone this time.

heehee.

i guess i can say that i had most fun during this water play.

as usual i have nothing to say about miss j.

i am trying my very best to IGNORE.

ignore her ignorant behaviour.

i have learnt to work patiently.

=p

and today, we celebrated one of my student's birthday and the lantern festival.

it was chaotic.

the weather so didnt help at all.

everyone was everywhere.

but the parents were there to take care of their own kids.

the amount of mooncakes there was really scary.

and being a non-mooncake person it was really, in a way nauseating.

heehee i'm being mean.

this student's mother brought this really huge pomelo.

it was seriously big.

i didnt take photos.

i havent been taking any recently.

but thats besides the point.

i had fun in a way.

my nose is so very blocked.

i think i caught a cold.

and my mummy refuses to give me medicine until before i sleep.

and her reason is that she doesnt want me to sleep before my usual time so that i can help her with chores that she needs help with.

BOO.

and to make things worse, there's water play tomorrow.

i have to wake up like one and a half hours earlier than usual.

so i will have less sleep and i have to work an extra hour.

i should stop grumbling.

it turned out that there wasnt a visitor from korea.

it seemed more like a huge tour group from korea.

this group of ppl visited the childcare centre today.

it was chaotic at first.

they came in and started taking photos.

i felt like i was in the zoo.

only that i was part of the exhibition.

i seriously cannot understand why they are here in the first place.

and today i almost died looking at miss j do her stuff.

she does things like 3 times slower than me.

ARGHHHHHHH.

i finally understand how miss eunice felt when i was on leave.

seriously.

the trip to the supermarket was pretty ok.

just that the supermarket was too small and crowded so the kids didnt get to do much.

and i managed to put this special needs girl to sleep today!

and another thing to add into my list of stupid acts.

i knocked onto the handle of the metal gate while leaving the centre today.

i'm getting too clumsy.

work was exhausting today.

we were told that there would be a visitor from korea coming to the centre tomorrow.

so the teachers were busy decorating the classrooms.

and we had to remove all the decorations that were unsightly.

a student was really sick today and she vomitted like twice.

once on me and the other time while miss eunice was carrying her.

i didnt react fast enough so abit of her vomit landed on me!

and to think i even tried to prevent the vomit from spilling on the floor.

another example of the many stupid things i try to do.

washing up the slide was tiring too.

i made the entire toilet smell of dettol.

heehee.

my hands still smell like dettol.


i almost wanted to scream at miss j today.

i really wonder how anyone can be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ignorant.

and i dun understand how she can just do things the way she does.

its just so very frustrating.

and to think that the supervisor isnt picking on her!

life is just sometimes so unfair.

anyway THANK YOU EUNICE FOR THE PINK EARRINGS!!!! ((:


should be bringing the children to the supermarket tomorrow (:

i hope i dun have to stay behind to watch the PG1 with miss j.

we will decorating the classroom to be like a minimart and a market.

we will also be making trains that they can play with.

i think it'll be fun.

and i cant help but wonder how long it will take for them to destroy the trains that we will be making.

=p


it took almost a minute for the msg to sink in when i read it in the morning. and it kept me pretty distracted for the rest of the day. i really dun wanna know what that actually means. you left me confused. period.

the week feels so long.

and its only tuesday.

the 4 days of leave doesnt exactly help.

i'm so looking forward to the end of the week actually.

next week is filled with things to look forward to.

monday is my last lesson of japanese!

shouldnt be continuing for the time being i suppose.

and thursday there is water play with the children.

friday they will be celebrating lantern festival!

i suppose it'll be fun (:

though it means i have to work longer than usual.

i shall buy mooncakes for them.

if i remember.

heehee.

i never liked mooncakes though.

my wadrobe is so limited now.

it doesnt help that most of my clothes are in the shade of pink.

time to shop for black tops =p

okies back from a really long week of irregular sleeping hours and horrible vegetarian food.

and i am very sure that i will never ever be a vegetarian.

yes i'm ok.

i think i should be ok with enough distractions (:

and its back to work again tomorrow.

looking forward to see my students!

but not looking forward to facing the horrible management ppl.

ok i had my break so i shouldnt be complaining.

and this was where my daddy used to stay. we went there yesterday with my uncle and some of my grandma's friends from penang. we were standing outside and this lady suddenly appeared. she was one of the employees of the company and she let us in!
she was nice. but it is nothing like what it used to be.
